Maar ook voor de teelt van bewaarui zitten we goed. Dat de productie van uien zou verschuiven naar Oost-Europa, Oekra\u00efne of zelfs China is volgens zibb.nl\/landentuinbouw dan ook ongegrond. Ui verdraagt niet de extremen, eigen aan het landklimaat van Oost-Europa.<br \/>Ook de daglengte speelt voor uien een rol.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;De Rijnsburger ui heeft een daglengte van 16 uur nodig voor een goede bolvorming. In Nederland is dat op 21 mei. Ook groeit de ui niet bij een temperatuur onder de 6 graden, daarom is het milde klimaat in Nederland zo gunstig.
